New: Fix One Clip of Your Video Instead of Re-Rendering All of It

Re-render one shot of a long adult video. You pay only for that clip's seconds, the rest stays the same, and the old take is kept.

Updated · 4 min read

A long AI video is many clips stitched together. Until now, one bad clip meant a choice: live with it, or generate the whole video again and hope the next roll is better everywhere. Today that changes. You can now pick the clips you don't like and re-render only those. The rest of the video stays exactly as it is.

The problem: one bad shot ruins a good video

A 90-second scene has eight or more shots. Most come out right. Then one has a hand that melts, a face that drifts, an action that is not what you asked for, or a background from the wrong room. Generating the whole scene again costs the full price, takes the full render time, and can break the shots that were already good.

What Fix a part does

Open a finished multi-shot video in the Playground or from History and click “Fix a part”. Every clip of the video shows on a strip. Pick the ones you want to change, say what is wrong, and confirm. Only those clips render again. Then the video is stitched again as a new version.

  • “Regenerate”: same plan, a new attempt. Use it when a body or face looks wrong or the clip just looks bad.
  • “Change what happens”: rewrite the action of that one clip, with camera notes if you want.
  • “Change the place”: use the background of another clip of the same video.
  • “Joins / frames”: start the clip from the end of the clip before it, or pin a first or last frame taken from your video.

You can fix several clips in one go. Each one can get a different fix.

Save money: pay for seconds, not the whole video

You pay only for the seconds of the clips you re-render, at the same per-second rate as the original video. There is no extra fee. For example, a 90-second scene on seahorse-720p costs about $24.96. Re-rendering one 8-second clip of it costs about $2.22, less than a tenth of starting over.

  • The quote is free. You see the exact price before you pay.
  • Text that the content check blocks is never charged.
  • A clip that fails to render is refunded automatically. The clips that worked are still delivered.
  • Joining clips again and switching between versions is free.

Save time: minutes, not another full render

A re-render takes about 3 to 6 minutes per clip, instead of the time for the whole scene again. You don't have to wait on the page. Leave it and come back: the new version shows up when it's ready, and the old video stays available to watch and download the whole time.

No risk: your old version is always kept

AI results differ every time, and a new attempt is not always better. That is why every result of every clip is kept while the video can still be fixed, and every version of the video is kept. Use “Compare” to watch the old and the new clip side by side and keep the one you like. Switch back to any earlier version of the video at any time, for free.

Not liking a result is not refunded, but you never lose the version you had. Make an older version current again in one click.

Go big without fear

This is the real change. You don't have to worry anymore that a long, expensive video will come out almost right with one bad detail. Make the 2- or 3-minute scene you actually want, then polish the parts that need it. See how to make multi-shot scenes up to 3 minutes to plan one.

What to know

  • It works on finished multi-shot videos (over 15 seconds), for 3 days after delivery and at most 13 days after the video was ordered.
  • Clip lengths stay the same. To change the length, generate a new video.
  • A clip is re-rendered in full, even if you only want to change a few seconds of it.
  • The other clips don't change. Joins, volume and color can shift slightly.
  • Chained videos (auto chaining) can be fixed clip by clip too. The join to the next clip may jump: to smooth it, fix the next clip after this fix is done. Two neighbouring clips fixed together join with a cut. An older chained video, made before chained clips could be fixed, still can't be fixed clip by clip.

For developers: the same feature in the API

Everything in the Playground is also in the API: a free quote, a re-render with an Idempotency-Key, per-clip refunds, free re-stitching and version switching, and a webhook when a run finishes. The full reference is in Fix part of a video.
