Nureta Developer API: FAQ and key facts
The Nureta Developer API is one REST API for adult AI video, images and scripts. The seahorse video models (Nureta's own pipeline, with NSFW enhancement) cost from $0.1888 per second (480p) to $0.5428 per second (1080p), and one video runs up to 180 seconds (3 minutes). The direct Seedance 2.0 models start at $0.0885 per second, for single clips with no NSFW enhancement. You pay as you go from a prepaid USDC balance, and a generation that fails is refunded automatically.

Questions and answers
Is there an NSFW video generation API?
Yes. The Nureta Developer API generates adult video from a text prompt or from reference images over REST, within Nureta's content policy. The Nureta consumer app at nureta.ai runs on this same API.
How much does the API cost per second and per minute of video?
There are two video model families. The seahorse models (Nureta's own pipeline, with NSFW enhancement, 5-180 s multi-scene) start at $0.1888 per second: $0.1888 per second at 480p, $0.2773 per second at 720p, $0.5428 per second at 1080p. One minute costs $11.33 at 480p, $16.64 at 720p, $32.57 at 1080p. The direct Seedance 2.0 models (prompt forwarded verbatim, single clips, no NSFW enhancement) start at $0.0885 per second. The price is the per-second rate times the duration, charged when you create the task.
What is the maximum video length?
180 seconds (3 minutes). The seahorse models render single clips of 5, 8, 10, 12 or 15 seconds, and any whole number of seconds from 16 to 180 as one stitched multi-shot video. The direct Seedance models make single clips only, up to 15 seconds.
Can I control the first and last frame?
Yes. Set role "first_frame" or "last_frame" on an image to pin the opening or closing frame. A pinned frame replaces the reference images for that clip, so send frames or reference images, not both. In a multi-shot video, first_frame applies to the first shot and last_frame to the last; with your own segments or in edit mode, you can pin frames per shot.
Can I keep the same characters across shots?
Yes. A multi-shot video uses one shared character reference for every shot. New edit-mode storyboards also keep a continuity record of the cast, each person's outfits and the locations, which you can edit before the render. A pinned frame replaces the character reference for its shot, so pin only frames that already show your character.
Can the joins between the shots of a long video be smoother?
Yes, with auto chaining: send auto_chain: true on a video over 15 seconds, or tick Auto chaining in the playground. Each shot in the same place then opens on the last frame of the shot before it; a sex shot gets that frame as a reference image, not as a first frame, and a change of place stays a cut. The shots render one after the other, so the render takes longer, at no extra charge. A chained video can still be re-rendered part by part. To smooth the join to the next part, fix that part after the first fix is done; two neighbouring parts fixed in one request join with a cut.
Can I reuse the same character or background in many videos?
Yes, with the Library. Describe a character or a place, the API draws 2 images for $0.10, and you save the one you want for free. Then add {"type": "library_item", "library_item": {"id": "chr_..."}} to any video task. You can also save a photo of a place that you upload, with consent; an uploaded photo of a person is used for one task only and is never saved. Each account holds up to 200 characters and 200 backgrounds, and each saved item is kept for 1 year after you save it.
Is there a free tier or trial?
The API is pay-as-you-go from a prepaid balance, with no subscription and no minimum monthly spend. Uploads, the model price lists and re-render quotes cost nothing. The free first video (a 5-second 480p clip with Google sign-in, with a small watermark) is an offer of the Nureta consumer app at nureta.ai.
How do I pay?
Top up a prepaid balance with USDC on Base (1 USDC = 1 US dollar) on the billing page. No card and no subscription are needed. Each task debits its price when you create it; if the balance is too low, the request fails with AccountOverdueError and nothing is charged.
What happens if a job fails?
The full price returns to your balance automatically. The task ends with status "failed" and an error code, for example prompt_policy_rejected or content_filter_rejected. An edit-mode draft that you cancel, or leave unrendered for 24 hours, is refunded in full too.
Is there a webhook?
Yes. Pass callback_url when you create a task, and the API POSTs the task to it when the task succeeds or fails, or when you cancel an edit-mode draft. Delivery is at least once, with up to 5 attempts at least 30 seconds apart. Add callback_secret to get an HMAC-SHA256 signature on each delivery.
What content is not allowed?
Nureta's content policy governs the API: adults only, no minors, no real people without their consent and no public figures. The API rejects reference images that look like a public figure, and fails a task whose reference photo appears to show someone under 18 (with a refund).
What resolution does the Nureta app use, compared with the API?
The Nureta app and the Nureta Developer API both offer 480p, 720p and 1080p. Each resolution has its own per-second price. In the app the free first video is 480p.
What is the API rate limit?
Each API key allows 10 requests per second by default. You can set each key between 1 and 100 requests per second on the API keys page. Over the limit, requests return 429 RateLimitExceeded.
